Benefit of Robotics and Coding Education

Emerging research across educational disciplines compellingly indicates that actively engaging kids in hands-on coding and engineering pursuits during formative development years stimulates enhanced cognitive growth and skill-building versus more passive digital leisure activities.

Specifically, programming fosters improved logical reasoning abilities, pattern recognition, and analytical strategies to incrementally solve complex problems - all crucial future-readiness competencies. Likewise, physically constructing circuits or prototyping robotic models relies on applied integration of mathematical, scientific, and design principles. Minds strengthen through creating technology, not just consuming it.

Additionally, the intrinsic troubleshooting efforts and iterative testing processes typical of coding and inventing helps children build greater mental resilience, emotional regulation skills, and mastery-oriented mindsets to persevere past frustration onto eventual creative success. Determination compounds abilities.

Collaborative project-based formats also enrich interpersonal facets like peer communication proficiencies, emotional intelligence, and responsibility through mutually constructing shareable programs or gadgets. Bonds over common building passions motivate continuous improvement.

In summary, directly engaging young students to direct technological possibilities positively develops both individual and collective talents - allowing budding creators to unlock their digital potential rather than just observe.

Meet the teacher

About tutor

Greetings! I'm Kurt, and I'm thrilled to have you here in our robotics and coding club. Teaching kids about the wonders of new technologies, tools, and tech-savvy skills is not just my job – it's a fantastic journey we embark on every week.

One thing I'm passionate about is envisioning a future where art, design, and technology seamlessly intersect, and where technology coexists harmoniously with nature. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Education and Instructional Technologies, along with specialized pedagogical (practice of teaching) training for teaching kids, I bring a unique blend of experience to our digital playground. With 4 years of hands-on experience as an ICT teacher and over 9+ years as a software product manager in global technology companies, I bring a wealth of knowledge to our learning space.

Beyond the digital realm, I'm a proud parent to a 4-year-old son, residing in the charming town of Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, UK.

I'm genuinely excited about the opportunity to build digital projects with our kids! My ultimate goal is to foster a global community where young builders find inspiration in digital art, design, and technology. Together, we'll uncover their innate talents in the digital world, develop new skills, explore creative ideas, cultivate exciting digital hobbies, and forge lasting connections with me and their fellow creators.

I can't wait to meet you soon. Thanks a bunch for stopping by! 😊
